App Magic is Dudley's first STEM motivational book for teens.
His journey to writing has included developing information systems, building boats for the Navy, teaching and authoring two technical books.
He was born to a teacher in the Philadelphia Public Schools and an engineer for the government. His childhood memories include the nurturing of a supportive family committed to the pursuit of excellence and service. A grandfather made it very clear that he could choose any trade or profession he wanted but that he had to strive to be the best. A grandmother related how she had helped to build the church they attended.
His alma mater is Howard University, an institution renown for nuturing excellence and service. He also has degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and George Washington University.
His son is engaged in consulting to nonprofit organizations. His daughter-in-law provides social services to dialysis patients and his grandson is a Geology major at University of California, Santa Barbara. His oldest daughter is an executive at a profesional organization, motivational speaker, and book publishing agent. His youngest daughter is an executive at he Cantor Museum, Stanford University. All of his children have inherited his love for sailing.
